Seminar Draws Small Business to Learn About Internet Phone Systems
December 08, 2008 - Acredo's first seminar in their series on Intelligent Communications was held at the Disney Entrepreneur Center last Wednesday. Speakers presented on the topic broadband telephone systems (VoIP) for business. Brian and Mike Ross acted as MCs, explaining the improvements VoIP phones offer over legacy systems. They illustrated the simplicity of BASIX systems by comparing it to the plug and play ease of a jump drive. High Definition sound quality was demonstrated as Brian Ross called tech support agents in the Panama City office. These team members were able to talk with people 20 and 50 feet across the room, over the speaker phone, as though they were standing side by side.
With participation from MVD Communications the quality and reliability of the Avaya phones Acredo utilizes was outlined. Collaborators from TW Telecom then explained the role of quality broadband as a link between this desktop hardware and Acredo's platform in the cloud. Mike Ross emphasized the value of cooperation with these channel partners by describing the telephonic solutions as a managed system. "We don't leave anything to guess work." he explained "We rely on the best of breed to provide our customers the highest value proposition."
Having seeing first hand the quality and simplicity of the BASIX systems, attendees were particularly interested in the savings and flexibility they offer. Acredo Technologies is looking forward to providing further opportunities for small businesses to learn how they can benefit from broadband phone systems. The team has already begun planning the next seminar event in this series.
